The small print, in plain words

Safe use & care

Patty Paws is made for supervised comfort. It's for tummy time, cuddles and settling while you are with your baby. It is not a sleep product. Never leave it in a crib, bassinet or any sleep space, and never leave your baby unattended with it. Baby's sleep surface should always be flat, firm and completely clear.

Warming the palms

  • Remove the bean pouches from the palm pockets before heating.
  • Heat for no more than 30 seconds in a microwave. Do not heat in an oven, on a stove, or with any open flame.
  • Always test against the inside of your own wrist first, exactly as you would a bottle. If it is more than comfortably warm, let it cool.
  • Never re-heat a pouch that is still warm.
  • Do not use if a pouch is torn, damp, or smells scorched. Replace it.

Washing

  • Remove the bean pouches and the remote unit before washing. Neither is washable.
  • Machine wash the cover cold on a gentle cycle. Air dry: no tumble dryer.
  • Spot-clean the bean pouches only. Never submerge them.

Check it regularly

Before each use, check seams, the palm pockets and any attachments. Stop using it if you find loose stitching, a split seam or damage to the remote or its battery compartment.

Batteries

Keep the remote and its batteries away from children. Button and cylindrical batteries are dangerous if swallowed. Seek medical help immediately if you suspect a child has swallowed one. Make sure the battery compartment is closed and secure before use.
